Editorial policy
Where our figures come from
All tax rates, bands, credits and thresholds are taken from official Irish sources — primarily Revenue (revenue.ie) and the Budget 2026 announcements published on gov.ie. We never invent or estimate tax numbers. The exact values we apply are listed on the methodology page.
How we review content
- Each calculator's figures are checked against the primary source before publication.
- Calculations run in plain, inspectable JavaScript — no hidden server logic.
- Every tool shows a "last updated" date and links to its sources.
When we update
We review the figures at least once per tax year and whenever Revenue or a Budget changes the rates, bands or credits. The PRSI rate change to 4.35% from 1 October 2026 is an example of a scheduled update we track.
Corrections
If you spot an error, we want to fix it. We treat accuracy issues as a priority and update the affected tool and its "last updated" date once verified against the source.
Independence and disclaimer
Our calculators are free to use. We do not let advertising or commercial relationships change a calculation result, and any future ads will never read your inputs (see the privacy page). Results are estimates for general planning and do not constitute tax, legal or financial advice. For decisions about your own situation, consult Revenue or a qualified professional.
